Gum Bichromate

By Erin Mahoney
This photo is also pretty, right? Want to know how it's made? Thought so. The process used to make this photo is called Gum Bichromate. Gelatin is mixed with pigment and sensitized with chromium salts in order to make this print. The print is multilayered and the lighter parts have the least gum while the darker has the most.
